My music
My music comes from the desert. It is based on the traditional music of the Tuareg (we ourselves call ourselves Kel Tamashek). My music sounds mainly like Anewal! After 15 years of international career, I am one of the well-known representatives of this genre. There are some other famous musicians from the desert and the Sahel: especially Ali Farka Toure, Tinariwen, Etran Finatawa, Tamikrest. I need
For acoustic concerts up to 30 people I don't need anything. For up to 50 people I need a small system with a microphone. I bring my own amplifier. For larger events with 80 people and in a trio, we need a system with backline (please request a rider)
Additional notes
If you want to have a very special 'Tuareg evening', we can also cook you the appropriate food: How about bread baked in the sand or grilled lamb? And of course, there is a traditional tea ceremony like in the desert tent. We also like to organize so-called 'Talking gigs'. With poetry and in dialogue we bring you closer to the culture of the desert nomads. For example, you will learn about the veiled men from the desert and why women have such a high status with us.
