I am a singer/songwriter, but not the type with a guitar around my neck! I write and sing my songs in Spanish, English, and Portuguese, and play various percussion instruments - the snare drum with jazz brushes, or Latin rhythms on bongos, shaker, and güiro. Here are some press reviews of my concerts:
I need at least a sufficiently large stage space (depending on the lineup) and power supply. If there is a piano on-site, we can also use that or bring our own electric piano. If sound equipment (mixing console, PA speakers, and possibly monitor speakers) and lighting are already available on-site, that would be ideal but not mandatory. For smaller concerts (up to a quartet and max. 80 listeners), I can bring all instruments, sound equipment, and discreet lighting myself.
I value a concert setting for my music. Even at private parties or corporate events, a setting can be created so that guests can engage with the music and follow it attentively. In the end, listeners benefit more from the experience when the music is presented as a cultural highlight rather than happening on the side or in the background. We can discuss the specific implementation for your event.
