Kent is a nice guy who has experienced a lot. And I'm sure he doesn't necessarily think nice is the best attribute to describe him. He also thinks he's not the Danish Neil Young. But his voice definitely has something of N.Y. However, the evening was lovely, a perfect mix of songs and stories. Thank you!

The concert as well as the lecture were great!!! Kent is a very uncomplicated and likeable person. The audience was very mixed, the oldest listener is 90 years old and everyone is excited about Kent! After the concert, I only heard positive opinions. We would be happy to meet again.

We had a great and impressive evening with Kent Nielsen, who gave us a small insight into the Danish punk scene of the 80s with his concert reading 'How I never became a dancer'. In addition, there was the best folk-punk-singer-songwriter sound on the ukulele. Kent took all the guests with him in his friendly manner, so the evening flew by. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an alternative to a 'pure' evening of songs - you will definitely not be disappointed. Continued success and above all fun, dear Kent!

In front of an unexpectedly small audience, Kent gave us a sofa concert plus reading that entertained us perfectly. His stories were refreshingly cheerful to shockingly real, which he told and read in a relaxed and authentic way. He integrated himself into our small group like an old friend, and we felt connected to him as he played and sang his songs that harmonized with the lyrics. I would title the performance as rough tenderness. Honest and heartfelt. Despite a storm warning, Kent traveled all the way through Germany just for the guest performance in our living room. A man you can rely on and a cozy evening that we all appreciate.

It was like having a “Long time no see friend” in the house again. When we made the date I didn’t recognise that it is the weekend of Christmas market, including lots of friends from our twinning city staying with us, so We were lots of people at the dining table. And I didn’t realise that Dezember isn’t that good for dates, because lots of Christmas party’s around.. and then the local press called .. puhu.. what can I say. New People were coming, press were there and listening to Kent (reading and singing) was great fun. The evening was over too fast and we have good memories for live. see you with book Nr 2 ;)!

Kent is a very nice person first of all. We had a combined concert and reading from the latest book he wrote. The stories are both entertaining and extremely funny at times. The music is ukulele and vocals and really kicked everyone in the audience. Strong recommendation for everyone thinking to invite him. Do not be afraid of punk. It is definitely audible 😂.

Even as a solo artist, Kent was able to fully convince. A good mixture between reading and concert, very authentic and compelling. Kent's youth, presented in short episodes, awakened memories of that time in some and brought about some chuckles, as well as loud laughter. We had a wonderful evening overall with a very empathetic, uncomplicated, and very likable 'ex-punk'. Absolutely recommended!

It was a beautiful evening with a very likeable musician (and storyteller). A successful mix of original and cover songs. A cheerful and sometimes thoughtful concert and in the meantime I fell in love with a small red ukulele ;-). And a song by Midnight Oil with ukulele...just good. A beautiful evening, Kent (a really nice guy) read from his soon-to-be-released book 'How I Didn't Become a Dancer'. A nice glimpse into his exciting life, so I also give a recommendation to buy it here, I will buy it! The evening was a mix of reading and mini-concert. A nice selection of songs accompanied by various ukuleles. Overall a great mix and a successful evening! Thanks for that :)

We can sum it up in a few words: Kent absolutely thrilled us and our guests!!! In his two performances, he managed to capture the mood of the evening and give it back to the audience. Particularly endearing: Kent explained before each song, sometimes with a twinkle in his eye and sometimes seriously, why it is in his repertoire. For us, everything was a perfect package: Kent as a person and musician, his musical range, but also the uncomplicated processing through SofaConcerts.
